Letting Go - Detoxification and Forgiveness

A consistent theme for my clients these days is a hard, pervasive density and working with it is a bit like a treating a sort of decompression sickness. As a general trend, people are holding on to their history on several levels in a way that is holding them back, sapping their energy and blocking evolution.

The energetic composition of the world is heating up as the waves of change wash through and this is revealing a problematic density in people that may have been at equilibrium in earlier times, but now is often painfully out of balance. Symptoms are a sense of heaviness and being stuck, undifferentiated frustration,  anxiety, sleep disturbances, feedback loop of old behaviors, judgements or thought patterns and heaviness or lethargy. This density has a high cost, it saps our energy, joy and vitality, reduces our effectiveness and causes turbulence in our relationships at home and at work.

The solution to this is a broad spectrum detoxification of body, mind and spirit beginning with the density in our bodies but that only opens the door, the deepest work begins when we walk through it into the inner reaches of our beings to address our belief systems, emotional history, personal trauma, spiritual crises and the very purpose of our soul. Consider what a week without coffee or processed sugar might be like, does that send a jolt of terror to your very core? We eat and drink these things every day of our lives for what is getting to be 100 years, what's a short time of doing things differently? What would it be like to treat ourselves in a way that relieves the toxic burden and allows our bodies' natural healing response to engage? That decision to dive in is the doorway to a rich inner world of long held personal limitations that are asking to be noticed, understood and released. The radiant health, spaciousness and sense of power that follows a commitment like that is life changing. Long desired lifestyle changes simply unfold with the resistance melted away.

One simple way you can begin this process on your own is through the practice of forgiveness. Sit quietly and notice the general sensation of your body, your breathing, level of tension, posture, mood level here in this moment. Now think of a person or situation that has a strong emotional activation for you, focus on it and feel it in your body. Notice what the fabric of sensation is, where the tension patterns are, the quality and rate of your breathing, emotional content, the compulsive mental activity and emotional response. Now imagine what it would be like to forgive that person, even if it's yourself. Feel the edge of that change in yourself, your internal landscape. Feel the holding and activation, the density and power, imagine the spaciousness and peace that would open up if that density was released. That's the forgiveness.

Forgiveness doesn't necessarily change what you do, your or their responsibility or any results, it simply removes the compulsive holding and restriction of the blame, accelerates the rate of change and allows the energy of the experience to move through unimpeded to a resolution. Breathe into your lower belly and note the sensations as your body opens up and grounds. Feel the release.

The next level is to join one of my programs from a distance or locally in person and use the group process to facilitate and support your unfolding.

The waves of change are large these days and getting exponentially more vast, holding on to toxicity be it emotional, mental or physical is like getting wrecked on the coral reef while the waves batter us to pieces. Letting go, cleaning out and forgiving allows us to ride the waves and surf with grace.

Give the gift of a lifetime. Try it today, forgive someone and see how it feels. Perhaps be daring and forgive yourself even. How much can you let go, how far can you rise?
